the place where prayers go.

I just found out about Dear God, a website that lets you write something to God in the hope that he will read it after his Facebook session.

I guess the idea is that, if other people join in and support you, there's more chance of your prayer being heard.

Personally, I don't agree with this. If God is as big as the Bible says, then he can hear your prayer before you've thought it. I do, however, like the idea of people joining in with you; it gives a greater sense of hope and encouragement.

I recommend this, even if you don't believe in God and just want someone or something to shout to when it gets a bit much. Also, if you just want to read something interesting, it's good for that too. It's totally non-denominational and multi-faith, so why not?

the fifteen minutes of fame.

You know when you sign up to things because they sound good at the time, but then don't remember doing so until your sifting through your e-mails and getting annoyed at all the junk?

Well, anyway, that's what I did with this online creative portal/exhibition called Fifzine. I still havent had a chance to check it out properly, but from what I have read it's an online showcase of emerging and underground creative talent.

Today I had a bit of a motivational trip and started trying to sort my life out and get myself some experience and also look for ways to put myself out there as a journalist, when is tumbled across fifzine.

Anyway, if you're interested in letting others see some of your creations but don't really want to make a big song and dance out of it, you should go here and upload your stuff. That way, only people who really appreciate it will see it, and you never know what that might lead to!

Inspiriation.

Having spent many days scouring the interweb to fill social voids, I have come across some very good blogs and here are three of my favourites.

1. NOTCOUTURE
Description: If you're like me and hate reading but don't mind looking at pictures, this is the perfect blog. It's got regular updates of online shops, designers, trends and odd bits that you probably wouldn't have otherwise known about.

2. THE FACE HUNTER

A man and his SLR eye out and about on the streets, taking photos of the people that look hot but don't even know it... and even the people that do. Yvan Rodic is definitely onto something here...

3. STYLE BYTES

Students, listen up! If you always want to look like you've just rolled of a catwalk but don't really have the purchasing power to back it up, take advice from someone who has done it. Plus, you get a glipse into her entertaining prvate life as well!
